Who is the NHA?

NHA is a training academy offering professional programs in hairdressing, barbering, make up, beauty therapy, fashion studies and hair styling. Training is offered on a full and part time basis, covering day time, evenings and weekends. Our courses are taught by our own amazing in house tutors  and guest artists that are award winning leaders in the industry. Training is on a practical basis with students experiencing one on one tuition.

How can I pay?

We accept Cash, Cheque, Bank Draft and all major credit cards. We can take card payments over the phone. All courses run are on a deposit basis, whereby your place will be held once a deposit is received. A deposit must be paid on all courses.

What are my career options?

Session hair stylist, Bridal, Cosmetic houses, Fashion, Catwalk, Film, TV.

The NHA have an impressive 100% employment record in our graduates of the Level 2 course in hairdressing.

When do the courses run?

Our courses are both full and part-time. Our courses run on a daytime, evening and weekend basis.
The duration of courses range from one day workshops to 18 month courses.

Do I have holidays?

The NHA open all year round and take students in all year round also. We do take breaks throughout the year and these are noted below;

October mid term; October 15th – 26th inclusive

Christmas break; December 21st – January 2nd

Where is the NHA based?

The NHA has two locations in the North West.

  • NHA Letterkenny – Rossan College Complex, Park View, Ballyraine, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal.
  • NHA Bundoran – Unit 3, Bundoran Retail Park, Bundoran, Co. Donegal

We encourage students to visit the academy and meet our team for course information. Please call us on 071 982 9033 to arrange a visit.

What do I need for the course?

Requirements for each course are different. A full list of what you need is available on the course information on our site.

What do I get from the course?

NHA is the only private college in the North West offering professional training. All courses are NHA Certified. We also offer courses that are accredited by the internationally recognised awarding body City & Guilds, this is available on some of our courses. All courses are taught by working professionals who are top of their field both in Ireland and abroad. On longer term courses students must undergo written and practical examinations, as well as project work, this is to determine final grade.
